The Entry/Exit System (EES) is an automated I.T. system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders of any of the participating European countries.
‘Short stay’ means up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This period is calculated as a single period for all the European countries using the EES.
The EES will store different biometric identifiers: your facial image and 4 of your fingerprints
Your fingerprints, facial image, passport details, and entry and exit dates will be collected upon entry to an EES country and stored digitally. You do not need to pay a fee to enter the Schengen Area or the EU. The new system will be introduced gradually, and no advanced action is required.
If you are traveling outside the United States, we recommend enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). It is a free service that sends you email updates and alerts from U.S. embassies and consulates abroad, regarding the country you will be visiting

A plug adapter allows your device’s plug to fit into a foreign outlet, with a different shaped plug. Many modern electronics (phones, laptops, tablets) are dual voltage and only need a plug adapter. Check your device label—look for “100–240V”.
A voltage converter changes the electrical voltage so your device doesn’t overheat or get damaged.

Foreign Currency
You can obtain foreign currency at your local bank prior to your trip.
ATM machines are available at airports and in cities for obtaining foreign currency upon arrival.
Credit Cards, especially Visa and MasterCard are accepted almost everywhere, but you will always want to have some local currency available.

To stay healthy during your trip you may want to take an immune support supplement before and during your travels. Be sure to check with your doctor before taking additional supplements.
Use antibacterial wipes to wipe down trays, arm rests, seat buckles, etc when you get settled on your plane.
Carry hand sanitizer and wash your hands often.
Carry a mask in case you or others around your are sick for your protection.
